Hey guys.

Just been talking to my mates about fork upgrade. He has the same bike as me (Norco Charger 6.1) and is intending on upgrading from the original 100mm forks.
Is there a given way to know if you can get away with greater travel forks? Or is what it comes with all it can use. In which case would be upgrading to better quality 100mm's.

John.

Usually best to keep travel or a2c length the same as original.

In most cases changing the travel will invalidate the warranty on the frame. Sometimes they allow a range, but you'd have to check with the manufacturer, manuals etc.

What will actually work is another matter, but you might risk damage to the frame, or it may be okay. Hard to say.
