Im in need of a 5 inch travel frame and have checked out the usual suspects Orange, Scott, Cannondale, Lapierre and Trek have i missed out any other brands or which of these would you recomend?

road- Trek 1000
XC trail anthem X4
school and shops- orange P7 single speed

The more exotic (expensive) offerings from Santa cruz, Yeti, Intense and Ibis - all have superb offerings for trail frames.
