Hi guys
Just bought a second hand hardtail with reba sl twin air forks. How do i remove the spacers to get the travel from
100 to 115mm? I know 'why bother?' But just out of interest. Cheers.

There may or may not be said spacers. Even if we knew the year of them you would still need to open them up to be sure.

Undo the bolts at the bottom of the legs. Good luck.
    And you can't.

Let all the air out before you undo the legs. Thought I'd state the obvious just in case...
    Undo the legs
    Hit them with a mallet
    Pull them apart
    Get lots of oil everywhere
    Undo some more stuff
    Pull more bits apart

Best bet is to go on the SRAM service website and find the manual for your year of forks

    Lubrication.
Also there's oil in the damper.

All the info is in the service manual on SRAMs webby. Give it a read for what tools and oils you need.

    My way sounds much simpler.

My way involves hitting them with a mallet. Ergo, I win.

I increased the travel on my Reba SL dual air at the weekend... I used the following Instructions.. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1AoGIW ... t?hl=en_US

I also replaced the oil seals http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id10.html look to the first on the list for the .pdf.. (ROCKSHOX PIKE DUAL AIR)

read the seal fitting instructions first

I am still trying to work out what year they might be. They have poploc and have matt black stanchions with gold decals. It shows 100 and 115mm travel on the side. There is a weight/pressure table on one leg and the pistons are of a green/goldy finish ,not chrome. I cant see it in the archives.

I think you've got the lower leg assembly and the stanchions confused, stanchions generally refers to the upper tubes that slide in and out of the lower leg assembly. These are gold on rebas.

The lower legs are the black bits with decals on.

Yeah thats it! The stanchions are goldish and the legs are matt black with gold decals on and a bit of red.

It's a piece off pish taking reba's apart, if bleeding Elixir brakes is 10 on the I shouldn't have ******* started this scale and putting on Velcro shoes is 0 then stripping reba's is about a 3. Even if there isn't a spacer to remove then assume your forks needed servicing anyway.
