Is Marks & Spencer the only home insurance provider that you get maximum value cycle cover with your home insurance ?

Not sure, but i can tell you from experience that unless specified on the policy, Swift Cover dont insure "anything with pedals on"......that's what i was told after my garage got done over - even though policy did specify garage/shed/outbuildings.

I use Castle cover and you just specify each bike and value you have on the policy.

M&S used to cover unlimited no. of bikes up to £4K but have recently changed their terms and conditions for new policyholders I believe. I recently renewed my M&S policy and was told that as an existing policyholder, I was still covered under the previous conditions.

Same as nochekmate here. I had a look at a new M+S quote online when my renewal came (it always used to be less than the renewal offered) and the new policy cost was about 50% more than I pay now and I had to declare my bikes as individual items unlike now.

If bikes were up to £1000 I think I'm right in saying they were still OK but over that they had to be declared and extra charges were added on.

I phoned to be sure and they confirmed existing policyholders are OK if renewing and are still covered as before. It's no longer a good deal if you've bikes worth over £1000 and are a new customer though :(

Anyone knows a similar type of insurance as M&S used to be? Which one do people recommend?
