I was a silly boy and, instead of shopping online as I normally do for bike bits, wandered into Evans in Bristol and started drooling over the Ultegra Izoard in red and white.

It is also specced with campy as an option - nothing significant in terms of price difference (both sneaking under the 2K ceiling) but I've never ridden campy stuff and don't know how to weight it against the rather marmite colour scheme.

Thoughts? Which way would you go? Or would you tell me that I'm an idiot and should be buying the (insert name here) instead as a mid range road machine?
FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

  • Lovely bikes, Ultegra is fantastic, so is Campagnolo... what Campag group are they offering?

Or if you are a size large you could buy my full Dura-Ace equipped Cento Uno for just a little more ;)

But basically, go for which groupset you prefer the shifting/levers of, as they are both great :)
