Hey guys,
I'm normally a mtb guy but I do spin classes at the gym and thought you road cyclists are best to seek this advice from. I'm looking at getting some under armour and am wondering if its worth buying or if its just a "gimic" type thing. My usual riding per week is 50 miles during the week excluding spin classes, 35 miles at the weekend and a couple of spin classes a week. im looking to get the type that keeps you cool in heat.

So is it worth spending my hard earned money on it. I'm only part time as im a studeso don't gave that much spare change knocking around

I use Under Armour compression layers when it's cold as I find synthetics don't breathe as well in the heat. For those hot days and when I'm really hitting it at the gym I use merino wool. I have different shirts from Mons Royale, Icebreaker, Smartwool, and Stoic and they're all fantastic. More money than synthetics (although they're on sale quite often on Sportspursuit), but the fact that they never smell (merino doesn't absorb bacteria like synthetics) means you can get away with one good article for a few days without washing.
