Hi,
I know recommending shops is never easy but i am after a good, reliable and more importantly; knowledgeable bike servicer in the Lincolnshire area (North Lincs preferably). I can do most jobs myself but there are some areas where i need expert advice/opinion where i do not feel confident in tackling it alone.
I try and get as much info from here and other sites as possible and when talking to my LBS recently, they have been less knowledgeable than me, and this did not fill me with any confidence what-so-ever.
Any input would be gratefully received.
Sorry if this isnt in the right forum.
Thanks
Matthew

what are you specifically wanting?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

There are only a couple of areas im not confident tackling myself. One is servicing my brake calipers and the other is my suspension.
I have a couple of (i believe) minor issues with both, of which i havent posted in the Maintenance section because i believe i have found the answers via previous member's posts and the FAQ.
When talking to the shop about them i have found they have been more interested in giving me worst case scenarios and trying to flog me their parts. I understand they are struggling and need the custom, but they do not fill me with confidence and the exchange is not a two way thing. Its just a bit of teeth sucking, a wince and a "we will have to strip it all down and let you know". I am not trying to poach their information so i can do a DIY fix myself, but merely trying to see if they are singing from the same hymn sheet that you and others; here and across the other MTB forums are. Then ill know they know what they are talking about and i will gladly and willingly give them my service.0 -
so again the specifics?
forks send to TFTuned or Mojo for service.
Brakes there is nothing to them but some tools are needed to do some things.
TBH post the issues in Tech if you are not sure."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
