Hi guys, Got a proper noob question.

Anyway, Between my crank arm and bottom bracket there is a gap... Which always fills full of cr*p... Can I get spacers so this crap doesn't exist? It does my head in!

Like I said, Noob question lol. Cheers for any help.

Nope, or at least Ive never seen on. Some trimmed and taped pipe insulation might work, but it will get dirty and shag your BB and cranks.

If you hate it that much, cranks with external bearings (such as Shimano Hollowtech II) dont have that gap.

But then they'll wear out 10000000000000000* times more quickly than a cartridge BB anyway.

Nope still prefer the dramatic effect of telling someone they are wrong.

Are you a moron - second post where you've just copied a random sentence from someone elses post?

Maybe in your head it's wrong - but here in the real world hollowtech II cranks sit flush with the BB.

There's still a gap for crap to get into with Hollowtech II.
One gawp at the amount of grass that's jammed in mine will tell you that.
It's handy though, the police never think to look there for your stash.

I'd suggest you tighten your pre-tension cap a bit then.

I think you are undoubtably absolutely beyond any shadow of a doubt right.

ps may need a bit of wheel building help this weekend. Obviously that's not why I'm agreeing with you.

Just snapped a spoke, but it's the weird 8/16 pattern. One of the 8 went, and it pulled way out of shape.
I think your wheel skills are a bit better than mine.
