New Bike Maintenance

Got a new MTB this weekend. Not looking to learn any major servicing skills or overhauling to look after it but can anyone give me any basic maintenance tips or skills to keep it runninng smoothly inbetween its service. Or advise where i can get a good basic maintenance guide.
