500 miles in and I couldn't have been more pleased. One of the best value aluminium bikes for £1000. The frame is 1,150g (50g lighter than the new s-works allez) so it seems cannondale have really made something here. If I wasnt 16 years old I would use my money to get this bike down to sub 7kg because it is perfectly capable to do so. Trust me, forget the cheap ribble, forget the ubiquitous carbon fiber, forget all that. Settle for high end aluminium like this and you'll get something miles better than cheap end carbon fiber, something very stiff and very light. (Btw I really want to cut the steerer so don't have a go at me for not considering it!)

(I'm talking about carbon fiber for £1000....obviously the carbon trumps aluminium at superbike level)

Very nice. Cannondale certainly know how to make classy looking bikes. And I agree carbon hasn't necessarily made Alu obsolete!

Top stuff. Cannondale seem to produce quality looking bikes, £1500 or £7500 they all look good and get great reviews.

I wanna upgrade the saddle to something thinner and lighter... this current one is just under 300g! And also I wanna get the steerer cut, does anyone know how much it costs to get that done?
