Col de Peguere - TDF steepest yet?
The final section of the last climb of today's stage goes up the col de peguere.
This goes up 430m in a little over 2 miles, an average of over 12%, much of it straight up a very narrow ramp.
I think that makes it the steepest climb of this years tour but wondered if its also a contender for the steepest ever in the tour (say for the sake of argument a climb has to be over a mile long to count)?

My guide breaks the averages down as:
Km
0–1 = 5.9%
1–2 = 5.5%
2–3 = 6.5%
3–4 = 2.8%
4–5 = 6%
5–6 = 6.6%
6–7 = 13% (with a maximum of 18%)
7–8 = 12.6% (with a maximum of 16%)
8–9 = 11%
9–9.4 = 10.8%0 -
If Wiggins lost 20 or 30 seconds to Nibali or Evans on this climb he'd catch them on the flat before the finish.
