'More residents are willing to speak out, say locals, as shootings fall from 38 in a year to just three.' Guardian.
The odds are improving.
More people die each year of eating microwaved mars barsmy isetta is a 300cc bike0 -
Looking at this from the wrong angle Will, guns are for protagonists, you'll need something that stops bullets. Not sure how wearing a kevlar vest will help your climbing though.0

Nothing like it was, even 5 years ago. The two main gangs were all locked up and it has really quietenrd down.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

I'll get in touch with Neo he might be able to help me dodge some bullets.0

Guns for show, knives for a pro. Big fuck off shiney knives.
Nowt worse than something coming at you with a cutlass. Or a glove with the fingers made of razor blades.
Or an axe. Yes, get an axe. Not a hatchet, but an axe. They're scarey. Or a really large crow bar. Chain saw.
At the end of the day though, you have to know how to use it - nothing worse than getting battered by your own weapon. So for you, I'd get a banana and a pair of Nikes.0 -
You don`t need a weapon just get the benefit fraud team outfit and racing colours. They will give you a wide birth and in most cases you wont see there arses for dust. You certainly wont be the fastest on a push bike in the area thats for sure. .0

Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.0

a bloke who stole from me had his girlfriend cut up by one of those shortly after; nothing to do with me of course. Thing about weapons is whoever wins gets arrested and locked up etc.. you're much better with a spray and keys and a heavy torch that you need for other reasons and , as has been said, shoes you can run fast in and a phone.Raleigh Eclipse, , Dahon Jetstream XP, Raleigh Banana, Dawes super galaxy, Raleigh Clubman

Of course! :shock:0

Rail Gun (might be bugger to carry though)0
-
Is a rail gun like a nail gun but only fires out rails?
Does this also mean that to keep a plausible explanation when the pigs bust you for carrying it that you have to have a small train at home?0 -

I've always thought a mace would be a handy thing to own. Not often used these days.
On an almost related note, I once saw one of the nasty b*stards I grew up with give someone a thorough kicking (inc. a good few stamps/kicks when the guy was on the ground). Once he had kicked the guy nearly unconcious, he squirted superglue into his eyes and left. Not sure what happened to the victim, but that image has never left me. Sickening.0 -
This guy is a weapon and decoy rolled into one

A skinny young lad with not a lot of common sense dressed as a traffic warden.
5 minutes?0 -
You can't judge how much common sense I have since you don't know me.
I've not got the job anyway since I've not heard back from them.
Not moving to moss side, apparently even though housing benefit would pay fine she can't accept DSS now because something to do with insurance???? Bit annoyed that I have to move home now, I applied for 3 or 4 jobs yesterday, just not hearing back at all from any of them.

Can't get one, might as well dig a hole in the ground and just lay in it.0 -

Apparently there are some vacancies in security.
May involve some travel from Manchester though........None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
G4S in London? I'd probably not be qualified enough. If I was I'd apply for it, nothing to loose.0

Common sense is easy to judge by the way people act - ie posting questions about washing bikes in the bath, do traffic wardens get abused, spec me a weapon, etc etc. All points to one thing, and it ain't you being the Einstein of common sense I'm afraid.
Get round the building sites, sign on with the firms that supply factory workers (I worked in a plastic bottle factory and a chicken pie factory through these people while at University in Manc - rubbish jobs but a good laugh and its money). They will do until something else comes up.
Moving home isn't a bad thing if it means that you can get a job, save money and get yourself on your feet: being independent is quite rubbish if you are starving, depressed,, can't pay your bills and have green teeth.
Ignore all the HMAF stuff - they aren't your bag, baby.0 -
How the fek can you be under-qualified for G4S olympic security? You get all your training.
Seriously, it might be worth giving them a ring.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching
