Just picked up my ScandAl. Really happy with the result. I wanted something totally different to my full suss so gone for 1x9 and rigid forks.
A rough list of components and price (could be wrong - cant remember exactly) :-
OnOne ScandAl frame £80
OnOne Max wheels inc hubs £100
Orange f8 rigid forks £30
Maxm carbon seatpost £20
Charge spoon saddle - free - stolen off jonny the leyther when he went getting me a beer from the fridge
Shimano deore cassette and chain (cant remember exact models) £30
Sram x7 deraillier - free (dont ask)
Sram x7 shifter, shimano brakes, pads around £60 (I think)
Scott Cougar tyres, Truvativ Firex cranks and ring all took off my boardman
Scor bars and stem nicked off my brothers BMC trailfox
Clarks Vice grips £8
Nukeproof electron pedals £30
LBS (pasteyboy) charged me £50 put it all together and he included quick release DT swiss skewers and an attachment that goes on my cables that you unclip and you can inject lube to keep the cables happy. Top bloke!
And my favourite - orange bottle cage bolts £3 off amazon - when i told my LBS bloke he just said "and so it begins". He knows the score.
Ive sold a few parts here and there too and made around £150 so Im pretty happy with the final cost.

Oh dear!
He'll have you pimipn it up with red bits before you can say "wait, how much was that again??"

Yes its a large. Pasteyboy did a really good job with the build. Cant recommend him highly enough for anyone who needs an honest LBS in the leigh/wigan/warrington/st helens area. Know what you mean about the red though, he loves it doesnt he. I've seen his bikes in the flesh though and they're things of beauty and I'm not a blingy fan.0

I've not seen his shop yet, but I assume from his bikes that it is decorated entirely in clashing colours, with gold and red featuring heavily, and carbon, lots and lots of carbon.0

Oh yes, been commuting every day the off road way and took her out for a few hours on Sunday. Really happy with it but makes my Boardman feel like its made of pig iron. Got a minor chain guide problem but pretty sure you can fix that with your eyes shut pal.0

It came loose and kept jamming the chain. It spins around where it is attached to the BB. I took off the black part and span the rest round out of the way. Ther chain hasnt come off yet so I can wait till the bolts come in to get it sorted.0
