After months of looking and waiting for bikes promised etc I finally upgraded to modern cycling.

I got a great deal on a Trek 1.1 Compact 2012 from Hargeaves in Dewsbury.

Enjoyed my first couple of rides. Apart minor adjustments to the front deraileur which kept throwing the chain off.

I had one earlier this year thought it was a great ride, sell the shifters get some 10 speed 105s and a new block off fleabay.

I've just had a look on Ebay. Might wait a while before looking at that.

The rear gears change perfectly. It's the front that seems very clunky compared with my old bike.
Might just need a little minor adjustment.

I have a 2011 one, sold it on fleabay and brought a 2012 one when work started C2W. Great bike for thrashing around town on.

banditvic, would the OP not need a 10sp RD as well???

I'm pretty sure I ran it with the Original.
