Recovering a Saddle.

I have a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio saddle which has lost it's colour, it should be black but now it's got white speckles. Everything else is fine with the saddle, plastic shell, carbon rails.

My question is, is there anyone in the UK who recovers saddles?

I don't really want the task of trying to recover it myself as it's an expensive saddle, the material which the saddle is covered in is Lorica.

Thanks.

Even in the case of an expensive saddle, I have the feeling it's not worth it. It's hardly worth it on a Brooks titanium saddle, which retails at over 200 pounds.

are you kidding? any decent cobbler can get the job done for you. even better - they can give you a big selection depending on what they have available of most qualities and colours of leather.

i've been doing it for years on saddle I really like.

I already thought of that, so I went to my local cobblers and he said he doesn't do this kind of thing.

need a new cobbler then sadly: piece of leather, some glue, and some means of stretching it... tell 'em it's not rocket science

helps that the place near me is proper old skul throw-back smelling of glue and polish run by an old italian guy

i used to do with Flites back in the 90s b/c I think selle italia put really really thin leather on them. plus i was a junior so crashing was commonplace
