Its Friday. It has not arrived. The first free weekend in eons and I am free to put the winter steed together. 2 whole days of being a kid again and polishing bits and swapping stuff over and lubricating the machine, applying new tape, using car wax etc...but for one essential thing: a parcel with a chainset in it. I know that they never deliver on a Saturday so i'm fooked till Monday but then thats me for a week and I will have to wait. Maybe I could raid the parcel delivery holding warehouse - it wouldn't be theft 'cos its mine anyway...

You know you live in the UK when you are sorting your winter ride in July...0

And boring us with your parcel trauma.
It took me way more time to build the Wilier - with ISP seat post cutter issues, then cable stops, then special bolts for the seat clamp due to the ovalised saddle rails, then a jammed cable thread...
Wuss
MTFU and get on with it.
It's gonna p;ss it down again anyway....

I know exactly where my parcel is, it's spending the weekend at the post office, I know because they left me a card telling me I was out.
I was.
Now because I couldn't just sit in the house all day waiting, I too have to wait until Monday to be able to fettle.
Thought telling you this might make you feel better.my isetta is a 300cc bike0 -
I'm feeling a lack of empathy in this thread. All the man wanted was someone to feel his pain but nooooo....MTFU, It's just as bad for me too, blame some blameless online emporium. There are standards for goodness sake. Nod sympathetically, make soothing noises, then move on to the next thread feeling as though you have somehow made the world a better place.0

I've got a paecel you can have if you want one. Theres nothing in it but at least its something to open. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
i can provide an empty box too so cleats parcel could be a parcel in a parcel...
with nothing in it0 -

The stuff thats on the my Wilier is going on to the Pinarello, The stuff thats arrived in parcels is going on the Wilier. So I have 2 bikes to build and a shed load of cleaning chains etc. Must be the Wilier - causes OCD.
Scrumple - I will bore people no more 'cos the parcel in question has arrived !!
DrKJM - I need soothing but the pain is over.
Cleat - A postcard will do.
Team47b - What summer ?!
Got to go, eating into valuable build time.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
post! on a Saturday! Lucky barsteward!
I never mentioned the summer, this time
It was sooooo hot on the bike yesterday when I was out, instead of waiting in the house for my parcel, that it felt like summer. We got through over 6 litres of water between the two of us in 60k, no need to pee either!my isetta is a 300cc bike0
