monumental chain slip

Hey guys,
I'm getting unvelivable chain slip on my brand new bike. It tends to be when its in the highest gears on my back cogs and only happens when im putting pressure on, so uphills, gaining speed over flat ground, setting off from the lights etc. Its not slipping gears and it doesn't really do it when changing gears. As I said its brand new so will still be in warrenty, should I take it back to halfords or is it a simple thing to sort?
p.s it is a lot worse in the rain.

Probably just the indexing is a bit out, but I think you mean lowest gears - big cogs at the back?I don't do smileys.
