Altura Attacks are great... Finally worn one of my pairs out but then I've been using them constantly for a couple of years now. Fantastic.

  • I have a pair of attack too. The only problem is that if you wear a back pack, the water hits the bottom and runs down your back into your shorts meaning you end up with a wet arse anyway, just takes longer to happen!
My biggest fear is that should I crash, burn and die, my Wife would sell my stuff based upon what I told her I paid for it.

I don't get that tbh. Guess it depends where your pack and shorts sit.

i was also looking at a pair of these, from what i have read they wont breathe too well, but they are cheap and pretty good at actually keeping you warm and dry.

as for other suggestions, the more you can spend the better product you get, the Gore Alp X shorts and Scott Helium are rated pretty high

They breathe fine, I did 50 odd miles on one of the only sunny days we had this year with a pair on and never felt uncomfortable.

I've got pair and worn them more than any others this year! Superb shorts
  • Nowt wrong with Superlites. I almost live in mine over the winter.

I've got a pair of superlites, I like them. Keep my backside dry, though they can be a little warm this time of year but it certainly isn't unbearable. I also like the fact that they're cut longer at the front so the cover your knees if that makes sense?

I'd suggest going for the same size as other Endura shorts if you have any, like the humvees they come up slightly small.
