Ok so I originally thought I would get more bike for my money buying second hand, which seemed to be the case. But locally there doesnt seem to be many available in my size and spec i'm looking for.
Then I started looking online for new bikes, obviously Halfords. I realy like the Voodoo Baku, Carrera Vulcan (hydrolic) and I could mybe stretch my budget to the Boardman Ladies, which with the current offer comes in at £460. My budget being £400 but this WAS supposed to include helment, repair kit ect, so it completely and utterly blows my budget! Its sooooo nice though and for £60 more than the others has a much better spec....
So im stuck as to what to do, do I blow my budget and get the boardman, or be a good girl and get the Voodoo and have change left to buy the kit I need....
Also if anyone would like to reccommend some other bike websites to look at I would appreciate it
Thanks

Get it! If it fits... but this is, without any doubt, the best bargain I have seen for a long time. The spec is incredible for the money, it is light years ahead of the others you mention, not to mention much lighter! The fork is worth £200 on its own.0 -
I knew this would be the answer.... well I suppose ill just have to save up for gear lol. worked out and it should fit, but going to halford to try it0

Brilliant price! Yep, definitely try it for size first, the best specced bike means nothing if it doesn't fit. A helmet can be picked up cheaply, and a spare inner tube, patches, tyre levers and a decent pump can be had for less than £20. Might be worth getting a multi tool too but start with the basic essentials!0

Another vote for the Boardman, you won't be dissapointed. I've got the mens Boardman Comp (same but with the Epicon fork), fantastic bike and I thought the mens was a bargain at £650 so for £460 you really can't afford not to!
I've got this toolkit from Amazon, great little kit. Only thing that needs swapping are the tyre levers which are a bit weak but you can pick up better levers for a couple of quid:

at 450 its even better deal. i also have boardman comp and its a great bike and to be honest i dont think any bike at nearly every level can match the specs of boardman but im biased.Boardman comp 20120
