Rusty bikes?

I have mostly xc bikes so they love the mud and wet, I have been getting in to the much fun and faster world of road bikes, I have just picked up a cube gtc race, and I love it. I have noticed rust appearing after about 2 weeks, it's only seems service rust buts it's on every bolt in the head set, plus on the dropouts where the wheel attaches. Are road bikes not as tough whether wise?

You need to clean and lube your bike after every wet ride.
