Well I did it 65.5 miles, I ache like ****. I had a mechanical issue so rode the last 10 mile home stuck in a high gear so was pedalling like mad and getting nowhere. But I did it.
How do I stop my legs aching
By the way I averaged 15.85mph. For the first time over such distance i'm happy

Get in the shower, spray cold water on them for a while, that'll cool them down and get some fresh blood in.0

Off to the shower now0

I like to soak in a hot bath and take 2 paracetamol if I'm that knackered. Others will recommend an ice cold bath but that's a bit too extreme for me!Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team

Anyway. Soak in the bath, radox, candle, glass of red, wife... Can't go wrong.0 -
Was off to the shower but think the bath is a better idea.0

My brother in law is into triathlons and he said cold shower on the legs as it eases the lactic acid. I gave it a go and noticed a difference same day and helped recovery. Feels horrible the first time you do it but doesn't phase me now.0

RICE
rest, ice, compression, elevation. So have a cold shower, and put your feet up in front of the telly not sure the compression is so important unless you've done some real damage, but sure someone will correct me on that one :P0 -
Glass of milk when you get in and stretch...at night and in the morning0

I find that wearing compression socks after a long ride really keeps me together.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0
