Specialized Allez Stem

According to the LBS site, my bike has this stem

STEM Alloy, CP bolt,12-degree, 31.8mm

Can this be adjusted?
Cube Attain SL Disc
Giant CRS 2.0

    With shims yes, turned upside down yes.

    Above/below your stem on the bike there are a number of metal rings known as shims. These can be moved to raise or lower the height of the stem. The stem itself cannot change angle unless you turn it upside down or purchase a stem with a different degree of angle.

    Get you now.

    I may have edited my previous post before you answered. It comes with spacers so im assuming they are shims. When im getting measured for the bike ill mention it to them. Im getting it in McConvey Cycles in Belfast

    If the frame is the right size there shouldn't be an issue. Chances are if you're new there will be other things to consider first before stem height or angle.

    The McConvey family are racers themselves,they won't sell you a bike that isn't right. I have the exact same bike (although 2011 and bought from McConveys too lol) and the only substantial change I made was saddle.

    But that's all in good time!
