After a new rotor as one of mine is warped i think ... loads of judder under braking. Will confirm by fitting my 2nd set of wheels tonight. But i'm 99% sure it's warped.
Up to now, the list is
Shimano XT RT75 @ £22 from CRC
Superstar Floating Rotor 180mm @ £26 from Superstar
I'm not too worried about weight as such, or even aesthetics... although a Superstar in Blue is pretty cool... but if they're rubbish i won't get one lol
The Hope floating are £35... worth it over the Superstar ?

if looking nice is part of it then have a search on mtbr.com forum for painting rotors, loads of them did it, and it looked quite good,Timmo.

I have just bought the Shimano ones with the aluminium centre. They look really nice and were both dead flat when out of the packet. Gave them a beasting on sunday in the mud and they were silent unlike my old Avid set up.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Superstar rotors are like a tenner each. Don't pay any more than that, they all do the same job. I'll sell you some rotors for £35 each if you want to waste some money0

Probably just pad/disc contamination. Sand the pads a bit, clean off the disc... you never know.
But a new disc might well fix it all, so don't let me stop you0 -
Is easy enough to straighten a rotor, if you don't have the tools you can do it by hand! I use a adjustable wrench, jaws Cleaned first! ;-) does just the same job!
If you do tackle a diy straighten then use a pen to mark the spoke of the disc as such so you know which one it is after you've had a go!Timmo.

I'm not getting any rubbing on the rotor, so if it's out, it's only fractionally out.
I needed a 180 rotor for my spare rear anyway, so ordered 2 from Superstar.
I stuck my spare front on last night for testing and all seems good, so pretty sure it's the rotor that has a minor issue.
For the sake of £12, i'd rather just get a new one instead of messing about trying to fix it.
If either of you boys want it, i'll post it outSalsa Spearfish 29er
