Anyone know if it's possible to get and fit replacement cages for Sram X9 derailleurs, or do I have to get a whole new mech. My cage ain't sitting right after some knocks and it's causing headaches.

Cheers in advance,

BTM

    what year?

and are you sure it is not the mech hanger?

If there's something odd looking about the cage then it is likely to be more deep rooted than just the pulley cage.

Not sure what year. Mech hanger is new. The mech has had a couple of knocks and I've bent the cage back by hand a couple of times in a manner that wasn't very precise.

Actually this is a good question. I have an X9 mech that is otherwise brand new apart from me having fucked up the cage...

Well, does it look like you can get both plates off and what does google say about them being available to buy?

It doesn't look like I can, but I could be wrong. And not much...

Likewise, ilovedirt. (BTW, my steed's also a Slayer, love it!)

so no idea at all on the year?

then with that info you can not buy new cages.

but if you give a clue Year of bike? when you bough the mech then may be i can tell you if you can get cage sides and approx cost.

PS last time i priced up some for an X0 and a Sram road mech (cant rememeber which) a new mech was cheaper.
