We're trying to attract clubs from further afield to the Rothesay Weekend on the Isle of Bute. It's very well attended by Scottish clubs as an end of season event that mixes bike racing with a bit of a drink in the evenings. There are actually some pretty good prizes as well.
If you're club is looking for a wee location for a jolly mixed in with some bike racing you'd be more than welcome to come along. It's all under TLI rules so no need for a BC licence and age category prizes are awarded. You don't need to pre-enter, just come along and sign-on on the day.
We've got a hillclimb on the Saturday morning followed by a 2-up TT (mixed clubs allowed) in the afternoon. On Sunday morning there's a 10 mile TT and in the afternoon an APR, a women's road race and a novice road race.
Amongst the prizes is a yellow jersey prize for the 3 timed events (male and female) and also a team trophy for the best performing club.
There is a really diverse mix of riders in terms of ability so you should get a challenge no matter how good or bad you think you are.

Dam, am away on a family holiday in Majorca that week!
Think a few of my team mates from GJS Racing are keen though.

We've added some recommendations of places to stay if you're looking for cycling friendly accommodation. Looks like we're getting a good few riders coming along from England and Northern Ireland as well as our usual good turnout of Scottish riders.

Just a reminder that this event is on at the weekend. The yellow jersey competition will now take in the road race ( and the women's jersey the women's road race).
