If you can explain this I'll be impressed...

Got home at 4pm from a 60k ride. I keep the bike indoors so brought it in & it sat there for about 2hrs. About 30 min ago I heard this really loud hissing noise. Washer was on so the mrs thought there was a leak or something. Traced the hiss to the room there the bike is & the front tyre was deflating! After about 20 secs it had stopped & I've got a completely flat front tyre. Whole process took about 40sec - 1min.

1. why didn't it happen when I was out? (obviously grateful it didn't mind...)
2. why did it wait 2hrs to happen indoors?

Should I give Ghostbusters a ring??

As I return from checking the pressure in mine... perhaps the change in temperature has something to do with it. Hmmm.

    how about...

fine pointy thing goes through tyre, and nearly through the tube

last vestige of tube sloooooooowly deforms into tiny hole in tyre and eventually gives out with a long sigh
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
