Hello,
As the title suggests, I've never really done any cycling but am looking to start using a bike to get to and from the train station for work. For a whole range of reasons, I don't want to spend much money so have been looking at these two possibles:
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/riverside-1- ... 02744.html
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/original-5-r ... 65504.html
There seem to be a few differences but I don't really know what any of them means! I live in Sheffield, so it's a pretty hilly ride, so if one would be better on hills then the other then that would make a big difference. If anyone could give any help or pointers, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks

From a "snobish" perspective neither is perfect but the first has less complexity therefore I'd pick that over the second.0

Yes, the second has front suspension which you almost certainly don't need and at that price is likely to be worse than useless. I'd go for the first and spend the money you've saved on a rack and a pair of mudguards.
Hills might seem daunting at first, but get in to a low gear and take your time. Before you know it you'll be looking for steeper ones just for the challenge.
