Hi guys i have a Kona Hei Hei which has the Shimano M575 brakes and i am thinking about replacing them at some point in the future. I mainly ride trails and and a few enduros. I have seen the Shimano SLX M666 in what mountain bike and they seem to get good reviews. Whats your opinions on these and others.
Thanks Lee

The SLX are an extremely good call by all accounts. I'm waiting for the new ones (M675) to come out in a couple of weeks"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

slx or xt dependant on where you shop around, personally xt's from one of the german shops such as rose or bike-discount.de would my pic.
Also judging by how many brake threads there seem to be, can't we just say its a choice of shimano, shimano or shimano and just be done with it?0 -
I'd have Formula.0

On Rose the XT's (M785) are only €13 more for a pair than the new 2013 SLX (M675) but says there's a 11wk lead time on them. There's only a 2wk wait on the M675 and the current SLX (M666) they're showing out of stock.
There's obviously other places to buy them apart from Rose but they do seem to have the best prices...it's just getting hold of them that's the tricky bit :?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
