tyre advise for 29er Stans Crests rims.

Hi All,

I'm riding a very light rigid mountain bike on the roads with is fitted with the 29er Crest rims which are 25.4mm wide. What I want to know is what road tyre and makes will fit them?

General advice is to go with a tyre wider than your rim, so probably 28mm or above. Also depends on whether you're planning to run them tubeless? (I wouldn't) Schwalbe Ultremo ZX is available in a 28mm or you could try a file tread CX tyre - never tried them as my Crest rims are currently shod with 2.2" Conti Race Kings
