We all need to post a message of encouragement and support for the new Wimbledon Men's Champion.
I hope mine will echo with historical significance:

That one tongue in cheek comment really did for a surprising number of people. You should try living somewhere where the tongue is nowhere near the cheek when making that kind of comment. Besides, I prefer that gentle banter to Gordon Brown saying his favourite moment in football was Gazza scoring that wonder goal against Scotland.
I like the guy, he's a great player and got a good dry sense of humour. He's also a good sport. Check some of his videos on youtube, he's not as dull or one dimensional as people make out and this is easy to see once he's not in a an interview situation. Doing keepy uppies with a tennis ball and messing about a bit. Similar to Wiggins in that he can come over as being a bit prickly and disinterested but he's just a normal kind of guy. He's no Henman but everyone's different eh.
Anyway, he's a set up and holding his own against the best player the world has ever seen. Not bad for a wee man from Dunblane who has worked very hard to get where he is. Sure you can give him a few good vibes!?0 -
I must admit I find it funny that Andy Murray becomes british instead of Scottish when England have go no one in the running. Being Welsh I couldnt care less as tennis is a load of crap to be honest.
Glad its over now anyway, it was the only thing on the bloody news this morning...10 mile TT pb - 20:56 R10/17

He wan't unlucky today, he was second best. Shame for him but his wobbly-lip routine during the speeches might have a swung one or two his way. I hope so - I like him. More should.0
