Next week I'm going in for tonsillectomy aged 45. It will be my first ever op and my first ever general anaesthetic. Has anyone else had a tonsillectomy at middle age that can tell me what to expect? So far all my friends have just said things like "you really don't want to ask me!" suggesting they had a terrible time…
