MG1s... Magnesium is faster than nylon. Fact. And they cost about the same, too. MG1s are pretty tough as the gouge marks on mine will testify.
Or Superstar Nanos, which are a bit heavier and a bit more expensive - but feel a bit grippier.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

£33.95 from absolute cycles. I got mine from them and they are a cracking set of pedals nice and light and so far seem plenty tough.

Got mine from these guys, super light, good grip, and so far after 4 months of abuse by a big lump like me they are still super smooth. Go for the grey though as the paint wears off pretty quickly. My biggest fear is that should I crash, burn and die, my Wife would sell my stuff based upon what I told her I paid for it.0 -
Cheers for the links chaps. Got some Wellgo B087 that were on the Session which are now on the Snap but tbh - they don't really cut the mustard. Was gonna go for SS Nano's but for £30 odd the MG-1's look like the way to go"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Was gonna ask about the Saint pedals. Ze Germans are doing them for €50 (£40) - bit heavy though, no? Do you know the dimensions of the platform?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

I recently upgraded from DMR V8's to Nukeproof Protons & can't recommend them highly enough. Far bigger platform, but thinner & great grip. Certainly worth a look if they're within budget.0

In reality the Nanos aren't actually much bigger at all, but they have a better shape. There's a thread on here comparing the two which illustrates this. Depends what riding you do really... if you aren't fussed by a small bit of extra weight, and you want the more secure pedal in the rough stuff then go for Nanos, but if you ride XC then the MG1s are cheaper and lighter.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

Ha! Neither! They'll be going on the Park/Street/Fun/Jump bike. More grip does sound good though.
Got SPD's on the XC/AM bike and On-One Thinny's (which I love but will only buy them again if On-One do another half price deal) on the DH bike
Which are thinner (Nano vs MG-1) or are they pretty much the same?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

I edited my post, above, with the link to the comparison thread... the Nanos are thinner, but I can't measure them both as one of my bikes is being serviced.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

They are exactly the same pedal - both made by HT Components in Taiwan. Good pedal.

Yeah - that'd be handy, cheers. If the Nano really does have a (slightly) bigger platform I'd probably pay the extra. And I'm presuming the replacement pins from CC will fit the SS pedal too?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Oh, re the size of pedal, I will measure and post as mentioned, but have to say I can not tell a difference at all (feel wise with foot) between both sets of pedals. They just feel (and look) like one and the same. Both have more grip than you could want.0

Just measured, exactly the same. I'll upload the pics later if you want to confirm. Albeit crappy blackberry pics.0

I don't think that'll be necessary my good fellow.
