Not my lightest ride and I only have 8 gears, but then I did pick it up for less than a fiver!

That looks like a lovely piece of cycling history. Classic. A great find from what I can see. How much work needs or do you want to do?Trek Madone 5.9

I'll give you a tenner for it!0

You've all been so nice, I've given it a wash and put a Brooks saddle on it, just for you!
The big downer when I got it home was that I realized that it'd been crashed (well it was 5 euros). I straightened the forks but the frame needs a specialist (slightly bent top tube). It actually rides nicely, but I need to know it'll be worth the effort to restore the rest before I work on the components.0 -
Saw the same bike but in blue for sale in a Paris bike shop a couple of weeks ago. 90 euros I think.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Me too but would have had to ride from the 17th to Gare de Lyon then taken it on the TGV and I wasn't sure if they had a bike wagon (not on all of them). I'm going to check out the big flea markets in Italy for something. Was really looking for something post war but a proper TdF bike.
I did see a race bike over 100 years old on fleabay.fr the other week.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Only you can answer that. I think if it's all working fine it looks great as it is. A good thorough clean would be enough...Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching
