i've posted this in holidays but have had no response:

as in the title, i've got time off work from 29th spetember to 6th october, i'm not predominantly going for biking as i'll have my gf and my son with me. but what will the weather be like then? snow? rain?

just wondering as i've found a pretty cheap chalet so i'd like to go

cheers

anyone know?

Les Gets is a couple hundred km north from us so can't really comment for there plus it seems the weathers kinda crazy everywhere these days but definitely no snow yet that time of year

You could get some rain but last autumn I had some amazing rides and pretty sure we were still doing BBQ's in October. Pretty cold once the sun goes down but it's generally sunny most of the time where we are (Serre Chevalier)

But hey - in the mountains you've kinda gotta be ready for anything I guess

Am I right in thinking that last year's autumn (and beginning of winter) was unusually warm?
I seem to recall the ski season started very very late.
