Crash - return clothing??

I took a bit of a spill yesterday on a hired bike(currently on holiday). I'm pretty sure the rear tyre is not up to much and the bike just went from under me while taking on a downhill corner! Glad there were no cars about!
Anyway, the question is....... I landed pretty heavy on my right leg and skidded across the tarmac, ripping a big hole in a new pair of shorts! I think I read somewhere that I could return this to wiggle and get a new pair? Or am I being an idiot? Maybe I bumped my head too!

Some manufacturers (usually the more expensive ones) will repair crash-damaged clothing for free (Rapha and Assos included). I doubt that Wiggle have a blanket policy on this though.0
