Just wondering about reba seal change/lower leg service. Got a TFtuned kit with suspension fluid (5wt), some suspension grease and a "lower lube mix".
In the RS manual it says to use 5ml of 15 wt oil in each side for the lower legs. Then to use 123ml of 5wt in the damper, which I'm not intending to mess with.
In this bikeradar workshop thing it says to use 10ml in each leg.
So then, the lower lube mix I'm assuming is to soak and lube the foam wipers and replacing the oil bath. The 5wt being for damper.
Questions are:
1) Just confirming it is the lower lube mix that I use for soaking the foam wipers and as the oil bath in the forks?
2) What volume to use, 5ml or 10ml?
Cheers

so what does it say in the manual for the year of fork you have?
note the date of the artical. not all Rebas are the same."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers Nick, just noticed I was looking at the 2010 manual
I've got 2009 forks, article is 2009, 2009 manual says 10ml too. So 10ml of the lower leg lube stuff should do the job.
I really should may more attention to stuff... sorry for wasting time.0 -
just a quick question to you mate, the grease that i supplied in your kit, does it says what it is (apart from grease)
i need to do my Rev's at some point, got all the oil and stuff, but im not sure what grease to put on the bottom of the wiper seals. normal grease may be too thick?2011 KHS Full Susser Carbon 29er Race BuildClank wrote:M'eh, I might just go back to zapping it with frikken lay-zur beeeems. Says on it:
"Special water in-soluble grease (lithium free) for lubricatoin of seals and parts in shocks, forks and bearings"
With a big picture of some forks on the front of it.
Sorry can't be more help.0 -

I always use this and it's good stuff. Can be used for pivot bearings too.0 -
