Hello folks......I've been looking to buy a mountain bike for the last couple of months and was after some advice from some of the more experienced members of the forum.
A few mates have got bikes, with most having full suspension.....so was looking to do the same.
Touching 40, I doubt I'll be throwing myself down anything too hairy but would like to test myself and the bike to the best of the capabilities, so I've done my research and found some valuable information on here. So to get your views on these bikes would really help me make my decision.
Rave reviews and lots of positive feedback on the Canyon Nereve XC 7

or a specialized Camber FSR Expert 2011 which I can pick up for the same price as the 2012 Canyon

Cheers for your help guys....

both good bikes but if you have mates with bikes I would try them out and get what you feels best.0

The Canyon is direct so you won't be able to sit on it unless you know someone who has one, the specialized is supposed to be a fantastic bike for the money and you could get a sit on one at evans.0

Thanks guys, my mate who lent me his is working in Nigeria, so feel a bit of a cheek trying to blag his when he's not here. Really fancy one of my own too, it's a tough call. Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

Cycle show at the NEC coming up in September, will have a 1km demo ride track, not far, but give you an idea what you do and don't like.
