The road warrior... well a commuter/light trail bike. Mix of classic parts and some a bit newer. Anodized red Zaskar LE frame, Kona P2, Crossmax wheels, Avid Arch Rival/DX Vs with M600 levers, ancient LX drivetrain, and random finishing bits. About 20lbs.

That is an amazing colour0

The light didn't bring it out as well as I hoped too! Will get some better pics soon.0

It's so fast, absolute joy to ride!0

looks quite cool for a lightweight knockaround number, but... what the deuce is going on with that front brake?0
-
Avid Arch Rivals ;-) Has an extra hinged brace so the pads push in parallel.0

Agree with the above, a really nice colour!
My old Lava Dome had a lot of similar parts.. makes me want another one!0 -
Spotted a 1996 Alivio crankset in the mix. Always wanted a pair of those v brakes with the parallel push (XT ones at the time i think).
Thanks.0 -
Nice retro build bet it goes like stink0

I love seeing something different, looks nice, would prefer the same colour matched (ish) DX on the front though if I'm being piccy.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Managed to find the bits from the other Arch Rival, so gonna put that on!0

Boss brace too, if it fits.0

Picked up some 2003 SIDs for £25!

Always getting a bargain!! Looking great buddy. I can't imagine changing from the P2's has made much of a difference in weight either.0

Only a pound heavier, but as I am using it on rougher stuff the extra bounce is appreciated! They were pretty ropey when I got them, but bushes are fine: stripped them down, removed a bit of corrosion, some nice fresh oil and no are very smooth. Team version too with Black Box damper!
Is certainly the bike I am reaching for most at the minute, is certainly not averse to a bit of XC.0 -
Not bad at all for £25 then!!
Certainly looks like a nice xc whippet. I've not ridden for too long now due to my back I miss the trails! Enjoy it mate!0 -
Looking good, just perfect for tearing around the cycle paths and canal paths that you wouldn't want to ride a more road orientated bike down0

Spot on, handles very nicely too.0
