Got the same bike mate but I just bought mine as a full build. Where did you source the rear shock guard? I've been looking about and can't get one. Apart from the mud that builds up in that area it's a great bike.0

sorry for the late reply.
got the guard directly from Commencal. just email them on the site and they will send you a purchase link. about 20 quid i think..worth it though.
ive changed a few more bits now. haven carbon bars and haven 50mm stem, full X9 groupset including the type 2 rear mech..new tyres etc etc..love it0 -
commencal need to bring back the old black/green team colours, not a fan of the blue, but on paper it looks like an awesome bike, keeping an eye out to see if they do a carbon version, that be cool!0

I love the blue! Looks a beast of a bike.0

Absolutely Beautiful!
I should say so I have one waiting for me at BikeActive
quango2k any feedback on how the Meta rides?
What Mountain/bike radar gave the meta a 3 stars review
Two areas where the meta scored poorly was the tyres and the rear shock tune for small bump performance.
What is your personal feelings on the meta Am now you've had the bike a month?
I see you have stuck with the original tyres so far, will you be keeping them?
I have opted for the reverb aswell a sensible instant upgrade.
Is the truvative x-guide chainguide another necessary option? Not sure I should do something similar. :?
I read that the bontrager tubeless rim tape fit the Fulcrum wheels so will certainly covert asap
What size bike / frame did you get?
Cheers

I missed your reply here before posting I'm blind no doubt
regarding tyres what choice did you make in the end?
Any particular reason why your not sticking with the original tyres?
Any insight will be much appreciated cheers

haha, totally missed the posts again. been a few months and have yet again changed a fair amount of parts.
tyres wise I ended up changing to Hans Dampf tubeless tyres with stans rims on hope hubs, built like tanks and no more frikkin tubes! the tyres have endless grip in the corners and are way more durable than the crap that comes on the bike as standard. I also went single ring and got rid of the front mech and shifter, went to a 34t front ring which is more than enough with the 11-36 cassette, also put on an MRP G2 chainguide.
next weeks change is Talas forks (kashima) and a CTD float rear shock..the original ones are OK...just not great over small bumps etc. plus...im being a gay and getting the forks because they are black to match the bike haha!
another change I made..this time for the worse. I changed the formula brakes for avid X9's with a 200mm front rotor..even with a 200mm rotor the power compared to the much cheaper formula RX brakes was utter junk! the only reason i changed is that I like things to match so wanted it all avid (gay i know) so now changed everything for X0 trail brakes (awesome if noisy) x0 shifter and type 2 rear mech with the clutch.
so now I've pretty much changed everything..apart from the saddle which is soon to go as its far too hard on ze arse!0 -
Lovely looking bike there!0

simple, fill in forms, pay a deposit, get bike...enjoy
then you have small monthly payments (depending on the total value of the bike) for 18 months. then at the end..you can hand it back, buy it for a reduced fee or carry on with the lease.
personally mine will go back so I can get a newer shiney one :P0
