Hi guys

I have just put new magic aksiums on my spec Allen and whilst having a short blast today, I could hear the spokes making pinging noises!! Is this something I should be worrying about?

Cheers

This is by no means going to help but I've put Aksiums on my bike and have noticed the same kind of noise from my front wheel, particularly at low speeds. Just wanted to second your experiences. I've no idea whether to be concerned or not!

I'll watch this thread with interest.

It's the spokes settling in. It should calm down soon.

ooooooohh, i was getting excited then about some new 'magic' wheels!

As above, it's nothing to worry about. A lot of new wheels 'ping' a bit as the spokes settle into place (when the riders weight is applied). Just double check they are all still tight after a short ride - occassionally they can 'settle' too much and loosen a bit......unless you know what you're doing though, DONT play with the spoke nipples, you could easily make things worse. Just squeeze the spokes between your fingers to make sure they're still tight

Are you sure your bike computer hasn't got the sonar option? ;)
