£650 to spend on a mountain bike.

I have a cycle to work voucher for £650 to spend at halfords, I was going to get one of the Boardman hard tail bikes ( only need hard tail )
Is there any others I should be looking at before I plump for one?

For £650 the Boardman Comp is a superb trail bike. Not many can match that spec.

Would the Canyon Yellowstone 5.0 be as good as the Boardman if it was not vouchers but hard cash?
