Hi guys,
New rp2 rear shock has oil weeping from around the air valve where it fits into the shock body. Wiped it off a few times and thought maybe it was coming from pivot bearings(top shock mount trek fuel ex 2012). Don't think the shock is losing pressure tho.Hardly used the damn thing really. Any suggestions? Back to shop?? Cheers.

there will always be a slight layer of lubricant on the shaft of the shock, this is just from lubricated seals - so its a good thing, just wipe it off after every ride to save dirt sticking to it

    Hi Tom
Think i must have misled you mate. I mean around the valve where you attach the shock pump, not around the shock piston. Does the valve unscrew from the body of the shock? Why would oil be coming from there on a new shock?

    It does unscrew.
