Afternoon

Here's my pride and joy. Not too flashy but I'm over the moon with it. Standard apart from the Fulcrum Racing 5 wheel set and FSA Omega compact bars.

Any feedback welcomed! Looking for some new rubber next.

Thanks

Looks very nice ... how does it ride?
“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

  • Thanks, Dabber.

Well, this is my first road bike after years of MTBs so I don't really have much of a reference point.

All I know is it's stiff, it's quick to pick up speed and keeps it. The campag setup feels very crisp. The handling really inspires confidence too, especially in somebody so used to sitting up with riser bars like me!

    Cheers

looks a really small frame - is it? Nice graphic though, I used to say Wilier had the best graphics of all the road bikes - until this 2012/13 crop of designs showed up, now they have obviously gone into austerity mode and sacked the design team

  • Looks tiny! Class though in classic Wilier white/black/red :)

I should put up some pics of my Cento really!

Yep, she's tiny (50cm) but that what you have to ride when you're 5ft 6" with short legs and a a long torso..
When I said it was standard, that's not completely true. I've ditched the heavy OEM post, changed the grip tape for some soft Bontrager gel stuff. I was getting back pain (that classic kidney ache) so I swapped out the stock WARP 100mm stem for a bargain Control Tech 90mm stem from CRC. No more back pain. As I mentioned before, I've fitted a set of FSA Omega compact bars so it's really comfy on the drops. The Fulcrum 5's are a great set of wheels for the money.
Yeah, the graphics are not quite as lavish this season but I like it!

Will be replacing the tires soon for something folding... My Team Lampre ISD leanings say fit Vittoria... My wallet says fit the Bontrager Race Lite that JE James have on sale...

    Coloured side walls or not?...

  • Oh, btw. The stock bars, post, stem and wheelset are for sale and very sensible prices... ;-)

  • I got a Monetgrappa Xenon back in March, delighted with the bike! My forks and seat look different to yours though, but like the upgrades you made.
