Cheap accomadation near Afan!?

Off to Afan for the first time next Friday and am looking for some decent, cheap accomadtion for Friday eve - does anyone have any recoemdations of where to stay? I'd prefer not to camp only because I want a decent nights sleep and not have to worry about the weather etc.

    There are probably cheap places in Port Talbot where you cans stay but I don't know any offhand. Otherwise there's the Etap Hotel Newport which is just off J26 of the M4 (about 50 minutes away from Afan) and they charge 34 quid for Friday night.

    i'm not sure about price but the afan lodge hotel comes highly reccomended, secure bike stotage and bike wash etc as well
