I'm looking to get a waterproof jacket that I can get in my back pocket after getting piss wet through this weekend and the weather showing no signs of improving. It needs to pack small enough to go in a jersey pocket and be under the 100 pound mark, any suggestions / experience will be gratefully received.

Have a look in some Outdoors shops, you can get jackets and capes of similar quality, size and weight to the cycling specific ones but they can often be loads cheaper. You'd get a first rate one for under £100

Wiggle dhb Minima S £44 can't beat it for fit, waterproof, packable at the price point.

Gore Oxygen Active shell is better (more breathable), but costs £100 more!!

Thank you for the ideas, i'll have a look!
  • I feel like a right cheapo reading this.

Mine is a Btwin one form Decathlon. Princely sum of £8 it cost.

Available in loads of colours, well made, folds down small.

Mine's also a Btwin one. I like it but I have no experience of the expensive ones.

folds down to pocket size? I'm not fussed if it's cheap, I just need a bit of shelter, there's no Decathlon near me, what's the sizing like?
  • Go one size up (like most bike gear).

I'm normally a medium, got a large. Fitted without being too snug. Slightly longer on the back to cover your a*se a bit. Cant fault it for the price.
