According to the BBC news banners this morning. It's a good thing to know that the poor mariner has been rescued, probably.

I saw that too. They seemed remarkably unconcerned about the fate of the rest of the Higgs' crew.

He was. He went off course during the prologue time trial. They found him stinking drunk in a bar on a backstreet unable to remember where he left his bicycle or why he was in Europe.

Why probably? Have they found Schrodinger's bosun* box on a boat.?

    *Pretty sure you mean BOSON
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

They have found a particle of the predicted mass (to 5 sigma probability) but they aren't sure about the properties yet.

They say it gives things mass. I thought what gave me mass was beer and cake. I was wrong.

That forces theoretically have particles to convey them is undergrad physics (first or second year, I think). Finding the HB is the impressive bit.

Was it found along with a dead cat in the bottom of Professor Brian Cox's Wifes Handbag?

Now they've found it, has anyone thought to ask Prof. Higgs whether he would like it back?

I'm beginning to think the Higgs Boson is some type of sub-atomic gaffer tape thus proving the hypothesis that all you need is WD40 and gaffer tape to create the Universe
