Rollers

Basically, I'm looking at getting a set of rollers but I have no idea which to go for.
I've never used them before and i'm looking to spend no more than £250 (the less the better!), suggestions would be much appreciated.
Also I have a turbo already so if I really want resistance I can go for that but i'm too lazy to keep setting it up all the time.
Thanks
Mike

I went to rollers and found them difficult at first. If you want resistance, just change gear and you'll be fine.
I don't know about UK brands, so I'd use sites like this for reviews. I bought cheap rollers (about GBP50 on sale) and, while they're not fancy elliptical etc they're just fine. Remember that noise may be a factor to consider. Don't forget the sweat shield to protect your frame.0 -

Thanks, I was looking at the minoura but wasn't sure how decent they are. They seem to be alloy instead of plastic which is a bonus.
I'm stuck between these, the Tacx Antares and the Cycleops aluminium ones so if anyone has experience on I would like to hear thanks.0 -
cycleops alu are great rollers - much prefer them to the Tacx. I was lent some Tacx initially and learned on them, but the alu rollers are smoother, quieter and give more resistance as they are a little smaller, so I reckon they have a more useful range of use. Cycleops ones fold nicely and quality looks spot on.
I got mine cheap from High On Bikes via ebay where their shop often has some superb bargains far less than their websiteYour Past is Not Your Potential...0 -

Another vote for the cycleops rollers, quality kit"You only need two tools: WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape"0 -
Ordered the CycleOps from Evans, will hopefully arrive tomorrow! Will report back on them once they arrive.
Thanks for the help.

They arrived today and to my delight they appear to have sent the ones with the resistance unit attached!
Can't fault the customer service there! Now I just have to be bothered to have a go.0 -
Let us know how you get on,don'tgive up if you take a couple of falls-start off in a doorway or next to a wall. Takes a while but you'll soon be able to reach down for a drink/wipe the sweat off etc.0
