Any chance this Cannondale ebay sale could be a fake ?

It looks very nice, caveat emptor , fakes and all that sow the seeds of doubt for me. Do you think this looks legit or do you see anything to cause concern here ?

I would say its just about the going rate - there is a planet x carbon frame offering some more stuff for just a little bit more.

What is stopping me is a lack of proof that frame is genuine and not a good copy, the fakes these days are very hard to tell.

Doubtful its a fake, most fakes and copies are of high end frames etc, not entry level kit. This way the fake can attempt bigger profits.
Price seems correct or maybe even a little high with the cosmetic damage
  • I very much doubt that someone would go to the expense of tooling up to fake a frame such as the Synapse, looks genuine to me.

Ask him for a photo under the BB, They have their serial numbers there and then you can contact Cannondale to validate

    Project High End Hack
    Cannondale Synapse SL (gone)
    I like Carbon

You can buy a whole synapse bike for £500 so doubt it's fake ...

I bought a carbon synapse off here including slk light crankset for not much more so I would say it is too much to pay.
