Bike rack upgrade

I have the bike rack in the link below and want to replace the yellow plastic material that covers the arms with something that will not damage the paint work on my bike, any ideas what i could use?

You could try the seat foam used for the seat on race motorcycles. It comes in a sheet and just cut it to strip lengths you need. Designed to withstand all weathers and the weight of a rider so should manage the weight of a couple of bikes with ease.
