I have been reading the 109% method for measuring your saddle length. After you measure your inseam length. What do you measure on the bike to then adjudt your saddle post?

    Saddle length?

I thought that was 109% of something else.

    Think I need an Adamo.

Yes, it's 109% of 1/109th of the saddle length.

I feel you mean saddle height - saddle length is measured from the front tip of the saddle to the centre of the back edge ;-)

Once you have set your seat height via the 109 % method be prepared to alter it to fine tune your fit , my saddle height is nearly 1.5 cm above that measurement .
using the heel on pedal method works a lot better for me and actually i found that the lemond method offered a much closer measurement for me ( inside leg x .883 from middle of BB to top of saddle ) assuming your crank length is right .All methods of using measurements are subject to a bit of fine tuning and are close enough unless you have aches or pains you cant get rid of a bike fit might be worth it if you need to but dependant on method you can pay over a £100.

Be aware that altering one part of your fit can alter other areaa, i recently moved my seat height due to changing shoes and needing to compensate for different shoe thickness and now i have had to alter my handlebar angle slightly .
